My Mom Turns 50

My siblings and I hosted a surprise 50th birthday for my mom. I asked my grandfather to find a picture of her that she may not have seen before for her invitation. He found this of her at age 11 on a slide and then turned it into an invitation.

You got such amazing photos! What a wonderful thing for you and your family to do for your mom. She looks radiant. I LOVE your centerpieces. What others did you have besides laundry and food storage? I think that you went the extra mile with this party and I'm so happy for you that it was so awesome.

Funny what a Parent thinks of at a party like this. I was reflecting on the day Kathy was born. It was quite a pivotal time if you think about it. Dwight Eisenhower had just sent the U. S. Marines into the country of Lebanon in the first such action by the US to directly stabilize a situation in the Middle East.

We were thought of much more highly in those days. Not like it is today! Kathy can't believe She is 50. All I can say is watch how fast the next 20 or so fly by.

It was a wonderful party!!
