Life in the Cone Zone

Sep 03, 2008 11:24

Well, it's here again - Hurricane season. That season that messes up the enjoyment of the summer months, rains on our parades, and washes weeds up on the beach among other things. With all the storms marching across the Atlantic I though it appropriate to post just in honor of "The Season".

More ranting under the cut )

too much work, evacuations, hurricanes

ahahhaa. this entry made me feel your pain. the whole watching twc for hours...too many hours is inevitable. im so sorry we are dealing with this. ike and josephine are on their merry little way too. :(

our dogs have NO CLUE how to even go outside during breaks of less rain and less wind. they are totally not even into it. last time, foxy held his #2 for an entire day, then had diarrhea and I actually had to wipe and wash his bum bc the wind changed directions while he was doing his business. that and he tried to eat the puppy pad. he's like..."oh, wow! what's this? it smells interesting, but nevermind that. Let's see what fun I can have!"

I just reread my post. I guess I was ranting just a little. My dogs do not understand the concept of hurrying up to do their business. They want to run and sniff and pee and be dogs. The cats are more then happy to spend the days and nights inside sleeping. We give them a litter box and their regular food and they think they are having a spa weekend except for when they have to pass through the "dog zone". Every time one of them jumps over the baracade into the "kitty zone" or out of it the dogs get excited, Raina especially barks and whines. I had to laugh at Foxy trying to eat the pee pad. It sounds like something Raina would do. Nothing is safe from her teeth right now, but I'm changing that as quick as I can train her.

Wait, your forgot the most important bad thing about the season: the chance of the internet going offline for days on end. u_u

I'm not sure how grouchy the cats get about it - Comet rather likes being able to stay inside and hog the bed.

Well of course the cats think it's a spa weekend. Sleeping in, litter box inside, food on demand. What more could they want?
