Wow, if its not the menopause its b/c shes mentally unstable.  Why is it that women are terrified of becoming their mothers?  I find myself becoming more and more engulfed in that fear each day. But the scariest thing is when I see or hear her in the way I present myself or speak. Not that that happened today but it seems to pop its ugly head up ( Read more... )

Aahh, Megan, I know EXACTLY how you feel with your mother. She is one of the main reasons I can't wait to get out of here. She can be my best friend and we have such a good time together and get along so well... and then sometimes, she can be such a shrew. Psychotic unreasonable bitch. It drives me up the wall. Things have been pretty good the past while, but when we first moved in February, it was the worst it's ever been. SOOO much crap. Me and my mother get along best when we are under stress-free conditions and we don't spend TOO much time together, because we are eachother's dumping ground. We each get the brunt of eachother's bad moods and problems.

GAH MOTHERS.

My biggest problem with my mom is that like I said earlier, she has a misplaced anger problem. She is always taking out something she is mad about on the wrong person and the wrong time. She is overly emotional, takes things the wrong way ALL the time. She tends to argue about topics rather than what is truely bothering her or what is on her mind. And it will bring up things that have nothing to do with what we were originally arguing about and everyone ends up hurt ( ... )

I really think it's a good idea to go to a therapist! Not just for you, but for anyone. I've never been, but I would really like to. I've talked to so many people who said it's changed their life... I would really just like to talk to someone who's an expert in stuff like this. I really think like 80% of women have some sort of issues with their mother.
