I voted today at lunch and am excited (read - nervoso) to watch as the results roll in tonight. This campaign was just too frigin' long. I completely lost interest in the last few weeks. I was fairly in tune for the first few weeks - I came to recognize all the party mouth-pieces and was able to pick up on some of their personal ideosyncrasies

my aunt and uncle are/were both career federal civil servants (uncle retired, aunt still in the game) and spending time at their house, it's all about political gossip. ottawa is really small as far as connections go, and it seems like everyone is 2 or 3 degrees of separation, not 6.
