CBC had a doc on last night about the drug crisis in North Central Regina. It felt pretty surreal watching an exposé on a place that is only a 20 minute walk from where I live. I've been openly and freakishly scared of hard-core drugs ever since I saw the 80's scene from Forest Gump where Jennie almost jumps off the balcony

I'm the same way re: hard drugs. All the '80s elementary anxiety mind control really worked on me. Sex gives you AIDS, drugs turns you into a raving lunatic, and everybody who drives a van wants to pull you in thru the side door to molest you. (I still believe the part about the van, tho.)
