OH. MY. GOD.
DEBBIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE WHAT IS THIS MARVELOUS THING WHICH YOU HAVE WRITTEN ME?! AND WHERE THE HELL DO I EVEN BEGIN TO COUNT THE WAYS I LOVE IT?

Then, slowly, he raises his eyes to meet hers. And that's when she understands exactly what happened.

He tells her he’ll forgive her if she goes even as he asks her to stay.
I will admit I didn't put the pieces together at first, until the line where it hits Rose. And then I was like OHSHITSHEDID! That last line kills me. Poor Ten2 needing Rose to be there so badly but knowing she needs to go and letting her.

he probably couldn’t have helped kissing her. Just as she couldn’t have helped making it easier for him by running her hands through his wet hair
God they are adorable. It needs to always be this. Kissing and touching and rain and hands running through hair. *squishes them* I love the atmosphere you setup in just a few lines, I could feel the devestation of the war and the celebration of peace.

This is...how did...IDEK how you managed to sum up regeneration so incredibly.
*SQUISHES YOU* It's weird, lately I've found myself thinking a lot about regeneration, especially with Ten becoming Eleven and whatnot. The entire process and ramifications of it kind of fascinates me. Though most of the time what I think of doesn't even make sense to me, so I'm so, so glad you liked it!!

Wow, oh, wow, this is,like, so deep and has so many levels and everything is tied up so nicely, I think it's a very interesting idea that Ten2 felt that pain of Ten's regeneration BUT OMG YOU STILL GAVE ME A SCARE, you know, I often skim the fic before reading and I was like "OMG Don't tell me TenToo died why is she grieving D:D:" Then I figured it's Ten who regenerated, lol, my desire to know everything as soon as possible just gets the better of me XD So back to the fic at hand...

I also like how you describe drowning and what Rose experienced - When she surfaces, like she always will, she’ll know the pain in her lungs, the double vision, limbs feeling weak and new
That's pretty resemblant to how the Doctor seems to feel after regeneration, isn't it? So this is why she gets him in a way. I just really love how neat is that drowning just resurfaces though the fic, and the fist experience of Rose with the feeling is actually in the middle of the fic, and then it is framed by snippets from her life with Ten which are in it's turn

She definitely tries to understand him, despite the fact that he's an alien and she won't ever truly get him. And I think with Rose, the Doctor actually wants her to understand, which I think it quite different than how he is with his other companions.
