Rose already knows he will keep her secrets. Because she understood even then that though she’d let all the childish affection she could muster for the boy rush in at that moment - and still feels it now, though divided from him - it will never enough. Not for him, and certainly not for her. I loved this bit, it perfectly describes Rose's relationship with Mickey, in any universe.

“It’s a shame he’s married,” clucks Jackie, returning to her examination of the portrait’s winning smile. Thoughtlessly, she taps her teaspoon against her saucer, “or he would’ve made a smart match for our Rose. Would anyone care for more ginger snaps?” I had suspected who this was before but at this moment I was sure :D

Besides her resourcefulness, Rose is also the kind of girl who never learned how to back down from challenges posed by her inner monologue. This! This is so Rose and I love it

Just... gyuhhhhhh. I love the delicious *Italian-ness* of it all-- it's something that has really become unimportant to most productions of R&J, and I think it lends a wonderful atmosphere.

Also: HECK YEAH HAROLD SAXON. The twists, the turns! Turning the Prince from the one sane person in Verona to the most insane person ever? AWESOME SO AWESOME. And Ianto! He's so cute and smarmy and OMG the vacuum scene. I was dying. So them.
