I am sure I have said this before, but I miss you like crazy. I wouldn't worry about fitting. We all eventually outgrow the places we've been, but I think too that fitting is a relative term because places are sort of like clay in that we can mold them until they are comfortable and livable and home. Our experiences change us as much as we want them to, as much as we let them in. You're on a great adventure now, and it's new and exciting and unnerving, but reality is always waiting there for you to come back to, unwelcome and ornery, but familiar. We're silly little adaptable humans like that.

I miss you so much toooo, oh my dear. Have you gotten my postcard in the mail yet? I don't know how reliable the Italian post is, but I hope it will get to you soon! Its been such a strange and crazy year, and a few strange and crazy weeks - but I'm reminded still amidst all this change that there are some things that remain constant and true. And you are all so good and so kind to me, I can't tell you how much that means, truly <3.

*clings right back* AHHH MARY. I miss you, oh so much :(. I hope that your holidays have been going fabulously, that even now you're stuffed to the brim with good cheer and presents a-plenty, that perhaps you woke up Christmas morning and found Gary under your tree :).

Rome is... I don't even have any words for it, other than it is so, sooo unbelievably Italian, ahaha. I don't know if I'm so much experiencing the world, or crashing clumsily into it, but it's been fantastic. Still, I miss yooooou. :(

Thank you for letting us know how you're getting on. It all sounds amazing though as you say you've seen so much. Sounds like you have developed the wanderlust now and that can be both good and bad. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and best wishes for the New Year.

Hahaha, yeah, I think I may have! Though there are definitely trials that come with living out of a suitcase, it´s sort of exhilarating, walking off a gangplank and thinking, "Okay, exactly where am I right now?". There aren´t many words for that kind of terror and excitement!

I feel like I have not talked to you in FOREVER. (Probably because I haven't.) I finally have a little time to go on the computer for once, and I'm so happy to see you've had fun all over Europe! When I have more time I'm going to have to actually read them and respond, hehe.

All this talk of Italy reminds me of when I went. I would absolutely love to go back to Rome and Florence, and France even more so. I feel in love with Paris~

realize I don't fit anymore. I'm sure you'll still fit, m'dear. :) You'll just be a bit different, more cultured than you used to be, and I think travelling makes you appreciate everything a little bit more, and raises a patriotic sense in people. But of course that's not everyone, and you could totally be having "continent envy". I had that once when I went to Japan. The day I got there I immediately thought, "I need to move here as soon as I can; Japan is the place for me," but I got home and I was just so in love with Canada and British Columbia again and I didn't understand how I could ( ... )

I´m in Barcelona at the moment, and the stalls along La Rambla were selling a lot of Spanish football jerseys.
