So I am back from Anime Kaiju. It wasn't what I would call the best convention experience. From an attendee point of view I am sure it was a sub-par convention experience. Or possibly a fantastic one if you are a big fan of Vic (Edward Elric) and Jonny (Vash the Stampeed and Ichigo). They seemed like they were being really friendly with the fans. ( Read more... )

There were Doctor Who bootlegs and I wasn't informed?!

Not only did they have the entie new series bootlegged, they had mostof the older stuff as well. As bad as this is on it's own, they had suc nice products as "the Peter Davidson Years", when he was one of the guests.

My biggest problem with the bootlegs was that they included the channel logos for whatever TV station they were ripped from.. transformers episodes were shown with the WB logo, and Atom Ant had the Boomerang logo.

Now that's a worthy bootleg, instead of just pulling stuff off-air. Reputedly, they filmed the host bits with Davison, but never released it on the market.

They allowed folks to continue selling bootlegs?! Torrenting downloads is one thing; the law is 10,000% more likely to get involved when selling bootlegs for profit comes into play.

Yes, I brought it to their attention as that kind of thing really makes me mad. I was very polite about it but told them about it. The dealer's room coordinator's response was "Well, we just won't have them back next year".

WTF!! You kick them out!! End of story!! What a load of crap!!!
