Well said! This is exactly why I am perfectly content waiting two months for the swedish One Piece volumes, when my family wants me to go for scanlations: the swedish translator does an infinitely better job than any fan translators I've seen thus far (who all stubbornly refuses to translate the word "nakama"...) Same thing with Skip Beat; I have no problem at all waiting for the monthly swedish edition, even though the english release has reached its 18:th volume ( ... )

Well, spoilers would definitely be the most obvious reason to have a service like that, especially if it actually financially benefited the authors (unlike unofficial scanlations that gives the author nothing in return for their hard work).

I think that now, when Naruto has caught up, people will start complaining about the pace of the releases again, but at least now they can't really do anything about it. Rumors has it that they plan to do the same with One Piece, which is kind of sad. We've always been ahead of them and I'm afraid that people might switch to the subpar English edition. :( I prefer the Swedish edition as well.

As for Skip Beat, I was a bit shocked to discover that they almost caught up with what I had read (I red up to volume 19 just a short while ago). They sure released it quickly once they got going. I remember when I started reading it. I just ordered volume 1-15 at once and swept through it. Great stuff.
