Back yard cookouts? County fairs? No those aren't very unique. Ooh, how about pie eating contests or bake offs? I'm still thinking county or state fairs.

Hmmmm . . . fairs are a great idea! Tractor pulls, pie-eating, demo derbys!! Awesome!

She likes that idea. We go to the county fair every year.

Ok ladies! Any others?

Oh, and I'll make her share what she writes!

I remember back when I was in HP fandom, the whole "Highschool Graduation party" thing, complete with gifts and things after school but before college was an americansim that the brits just didn't do (that according to them, europe and the rest of the world didn't do either), and it frustrated them endlessly when they saw it in Harry Potter Fanfic. Now maybe this has changed or maybe it was a regional thing that my britpickers didn't experience, so take my words with a grain of salt.

Hmmmm . . . very interesting!! So, does anyone know whether this is the case? Does anyone know if this is true? That would be perfect for her Freshman English class! Thanks!!

lol! Know what? Neither one of us even thought about a holiday at all! LMAO!

Yes, we do weird things here in America, don't we?
