My stupid dog bit me today. We always go to the marina because I can see all the dogs there before he can so I can be prepared for them. A little dog came out of nowhere and before I could get the hotdogs out of my pocket Bandit went schitzo and redirected his aggression to my knee. Thank god I was wearing pants. I have a big welt and will end

Wow... Who are you? I just read through a large chunk of your journal and could barely get myself to stop. Maybe it's cause I'm an animal lover, or maybe it's cause you're writing is comparable to the general hospital of animals. Either way, I would like to add you as a friend even though I don't know you. Hope you don't mind =)

Hi,

I ran across your journal from searching "dogster" on here. I put my dog up on that site a few months ago and somehow she was deleted from it. :\

Anyway, there's a really nice mailing list on yahoo for people with dogs who show aggressive types of behavior. They focus a lot on positive reinforcement and desensitizing dogs from what they're afraid of.

I've found reading it is incredibly helpful in working with our dog. We just adopted her, she's two, and she's having a hard time adjusting to her new living environment.
