ok i hate feeling this way! my husband has been talking to an ex girlfriend from florida and it's driving me crazy! everytime i think about it my stomach starts hurting and everything. she's married and stuff too but still. he asked if it was ok to talk to her and i said yes, not knowing that this feeling would come up. i don't want him not to talk

i don't think there's anything wrong with you just saying that you didn't realize it would feel this way, and please don't talk with her. he loves you and he doesn't want to see you feeling sad or hurt or untrusting, and he offered. it doesn't mean you're 'that kind of wife'... i mean, if it were that simple, he's already 'that kind of husband', right?

I honestly think you have a right to say, You know what? I thought I was cool with this, but turns out I'm not. It's bugging me, and I trust you, but it's still upsetting.
He loves you, and he will stop, especially since he asked if it was ok.
There is nothing wrong with being "that" wife--it's a pretty reasonable response!

How do you think he would feel if you were talking to an ex boyfriend, regardless of his marriage status? Would he worry?

In my opinion he has given you a reason to be weary (Mary) and he should try and respect your feelings and be understanding about the situation.
