what are the advantages/disadvantages of not doin it??

on a side note, I could consume an entire gallon of Oreo yogurt right about now....

HOLY CRAP WHAT IS OREO YOGURT?

(side note: this post is about kitties and oreo yogurt and my kitty's name was oreo. woohoo!)

advantages:
-there are too many homeless kitties that don't get cared for!
-she's less likely to "wander off when she's in heat," thus protecting her from traffic and such

disadvantages:
-she can't make babies if you decide you want her to?

--------------------------------------------------------------

disclaimer: i've never had a girl kitty so i haven't researched spaying versus neutering. you can google it easily though, OR you can ask

AWW. cute name for a kitty.
there's this homemade ice cream shop called Buddy's..
they make fat free Oreo yogurt..
add some chocolate sprinkles and I'm JIZZING.
(the fact that I'm PMSing doesn't help!)

crazy.

i should post pictures of him.

he was so cute.

i took this one really cool picture of him tthe day before we put him to sleep. i B&Wed it and framed it in a silver frame with black matte.

it really kinda rules.

i don't have very many good pics of him though cause i'd just gotten my digicam a couple days before he was put down and i wasn't really big on cameras before that.

i miss him though. i have a lot of stories about him that make me cry.

well no that time of the month for her on your rug when she matures. i say it's worth it unless you're planning on breeding her

it's better to get her spayed because she could keep getting impregnated and the litters vary in size. unless you wanna keep all the kittens and become cat lady =P

or what you can do is when she is in heat, stick a q tip in her and she will be calm. it will be obvious as to where you'd stick it =P they do the 'do me' dance =P

my friend's cat ran away while she was in heat and was luckily found, but pregnant. luckily for them, she only had two kittens, which are ADORABLE ^_^

they get really funny/weird when in heat; more aggressive.

Well im a veternarian technician..take it from me its worth it. Trust me she doesnt feel a thing when it happens. When they put her under they stick a tube down her throat, which peacefully makes her take a cat nap and helps her breath. When they keep her over night she literally will sleep the whole night and they make sure she eats after the surgery and what not.

Theres so many advantages getting it done..if she gets outside she cant reproduce. If you dont get it done u will have alot of restless nights. Cats can get in heat about every 6 weeks or more and she will moan and cry ALL night. She then will proceed to wake you up by rubbing against you. Plus when you get her spayed she becomes alot more calmer..cats can get aggressive not being spayed, which means alot of attacking on her end to you, family and friends..oh and your furniture. Dont wry they will take good care of her. When i take care of surgery cats or dogs, i lay with em untill they wake up. hehe
