I've only had to do it once. I hired a great guy who was simply completely and utterly incompetent and couldn't get even the simplest tasks I tried to train him on. We both knew it wasn't working, but I was devestated. I

It's not fun to fire anyone. I once had to fire an Attorney who was working for me. She was dreadful. Sometime earlier I had purchased her an expensive calculator. On her request, but far more than she needed. She was crying when I dismissed her. All she would say was "can I keep the calculator?" I've fired many since. It doesn't get any easier.
