I have always loved artistic gymnastics. From the time I was a kid and like thousands of others, watched Mary Lou Retton win the AA gold medal in 1984. I read books about Nadia Comaneci and Olga Korbut. I had one book that I read over and over and over again until it literally fell apart. However, I was not made to do gymnastics. If she's like my kid, knowing you enjoy it will prompt her to keep doing it for a bit, but she'll let you know when/if her enjoyment of your enjoyment isn't sufficient. It'll probably be enough to get her over any "not sure if I'm liking this any more" but not any "I don't like this anymore."

I am a fan, also.

My wife was a collegiate gymnast; it was one of the things that drew me to her.
