You're going to love Wyandotte! I lived there for about 5 years...

You don't have to worry about seeing bullet proof glass on the drive through windows... the price of gas seems cheaper downriver.. and depending on where you're at you may be able to walk to the park down by the river. oh - and you've gotta check out Mr. Fresh on Northline... it's a drive through dairy place. If you're out of milk, eggs, etc.. and don't feel like getting out of the car to go to the gas station or CVS, just pull on into Mr. Fresh and roll down your window. :-)

Have you? I grew up in Riverview, so I do know what you mean about it being safer than a lot of other areas, but I've never actually lived in WYA. Are the utilities the same as other places? I hear that they may be a little less because of them having their own. You're right, I've noticed that gas is cheaper there! Nice! We're a little too far from Bishop Park (we're not far from Eureka and Fort), but it's a short drive, I love that place. I can't believe I've never heard of Mr. Fresh! That sounds so cool!

I don't remember how much things were compared to DTE because my living space has increased since I lived in there (I moved about 3 years ago) - but it may have been cheaper. I loved how Wyandotte had their own utilities because if you need to pay a bill you can just go down to the payment office on Biddle or drop it in a special mailbox (no running to the post office to have something rush delivered) - oh, there's also a secretary of state in the city that's usually not too crowded.

One thing I do remember was the internet was not as fast as Comcast - my download speeds were much slower - but unless you're doing some heavy internet downloading then you might not notice.

I think you're going to like living Wyandotte... there's so much to discover in that little city. :-)
