Yesterday was a shitty day, so - against all my common sense - I've started a new tv series, thing that I really shouldn't have done because I'm already following a embarassing amount of shows. In my defense I can say that I was down, and this show has only two episode for now, and I admit shamelessly that the prospective of some good slash dragged me in faster than I'm willing to admit.
Anyway, this show is Suits.
This is the summary from Wikipedia (because I suck at summarize plots):
Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) is a lazy but brilliant college dropout with an eidetic memory that has allowed him to pass the bar examwithout attending law school. Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht), one of Manhattan's best lawyers, hires Ross as his new associate. Because of the firm's policy of hiring only Harvard Law graduates, Ross is forced to pretend that he has gone to Harvard.
It's actually so much better than how sounds in this, so take a look at the trailer:

Long story short, now I'm in love.
First of all, I leave to vent for a moment my slash side and I have to say that for now there is no heterosexual explanation whatsoever for this show. I'm not even kidding, guys, the show could be more gay only if you actually put a sex scene in it. I mean, episode 2 was so full of subtexts sexual innuendo that you can nearly read it as a gay porn. Of course, it may also be that I'm exaggerating (hello, fangirl) because it's obvious that there are female characters and you can see clearly as the sun what will be the love story of the show, but seriously... for an heterosexual show, it has more gay subtext in two episodes that in almost any other show I have ever watched (more, for exemple, than White Collar - I picked this only because is the same network who broadcasts them).
So, basically, my slash side is shipping Harvey/Mike with the power of a burning sun and I hope that the next episodes will be awesome as these first two were.
Slash aside, I really think that this show is pretty good and that it has A LOT of potential. So far I think that the characters are really well built and OMG I'm in love with their dialogues. There aren't italian subs for it yet, so probably (surely) I've lost some things, but for what I could understand finally there is a show where the dialogues aren't so predictable and repetitive. And it gives me the same vibe of White Collar, of something fresh and elegant. I started chuckling at how smart, witty, funny, serious, and sarcastic this show is. So yeah, I love it and I need the next episode now.
And USA Network? You're doing it gay RIGHT! You're doing it right.
So, in the last post I've said that I have some ideas for a couple of Erik/Charles fanfiction and one of them is actually more a character study about Charles because I think he really is a complex character (and then of course it will also explore his relationship with Erik). So I've done some research on him, and I didn't read the comics so I was very surprised to find out that this was his childhood:
Charles Xavier’s father Brian was a nuclear scientist who died in an accident when Charles was young, and his mother Sharon got remarried to his father’s science partner Kurt. Kurt only married Sharon for her money and neglected her, which drive her to alcoholism, and Kurt abused both Charles and his own son, Cain.
I was like: bloody hell O.O
I mean, I've imaged that it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, but I didn't think that it could be so bad.
Both Erik and Charles have had such a horrible childhood.
Anyway, I hope that the inspiration doesn't abandon me like it always does.
And after have seen X-Men: First Class for maybe the seventh time I can freely say that I have a huge character for Alex and I don't even know why (and no, it's not because he's pretty =___=), and that my favoite female characters is Emma, because maybe she's an evil bitch but she's classy and badass (so it really saddens me that in the fanfictions she usually gets killed at the beginning =___=).
And if you haven't read
THIS ARTICLE yet, do it immediately because everything is Erik/Charles and nothing hurts (more or less)!!!
Now I want to spend two words on Glee, because they fired Chord?! I've actually laughed so hard at this, because really, it's getting ridicolous. I mean, I can understand Matt in the first season because he barely had two lines in a series so, yeah, okay, but Sam had a pretty huge part in the first nine episodes and they made him Mercedes' boyfriend in the last, so... I don't know, it's like they've wasted half of a season in absolute nothing. And I'm not even a fan of Chord or Sam, but come on, I say it again, this is ridicolous!
Really, some times I'm asking myself why I'm still watching this show =__= (and the answer is always the same: because of Max/Dave and Chris/Kurt.)
