I have had no birds lately, but I see they've been visiting (in the early morning, I assume) from all the straw they kick about when looking for worms. I've really worried about the baby wrens in this heat but so far so good. I'm working toward lots of natural pest control with attracting birds...pluse pretty!

I made a temporary bath from a leca block, a huge flower saucer and a rock a couple of months back, but have had no guests in it that I know of (apart from a wasp). Maybe they decided I had quit business when I ran out of tallow balls earlier this summer? Or maybe they are wary of the visiting ferals...

I have seen bats overhead at night, though - they help with pest control, too!
