Smile, Yuya. Masuda used to say that whenever Tegoshi was sad, at the same time as he hugged him tightly and wiped the tears on his face away with gentle hands. Tegoshi wished that he was here now, to hug him and kiss him, to make him feel better. But Masuda wasn’t here. He was far away somewhere on a business-trip, and had left poor Tegoshi all alone.
Tegoshi felt pathetic; sitting on his and Masuda’s bed alone, his legs pressed tightly against his chest, and the tears streaming slowly down his cheeks. He was like this from time to time, but it was quickly solved by a hug and a kiss from Masuda. But there was no Masuda available this time, which was the problem. There was no Masuda there for him this time, to tell him that he was silly who exaggerated things too much and should be a bit more positive. Even the worst day would get better when Tegoshi was able to see Masuda’s smile, hear his voice and feel his warmth. He knew that it was silly and ridiculous to just sit there and wriggle in self-pity, but he didn’t have the energy to do anything else, not that he wanted to either. Masuda was the only one who really endured being with him all the time, even when he was behaving like a grumpy and selfish kid. That’s why Masuda meant so much for him and always managed to cheer him up.
Tegoshi sighed deeply before wiping his cheeks with a sleeve. He picked his cellphone up, dialling Masuda’s number and holding the phone to his ear. Masuda didn’t answer. After eight signals, Tegoshi was ready to go another round to the fridge to get a beer and continue his depressing and pathetic nigh alone, but at that moment he heard a ‘click’ on the other side of the line, and a familiar, beloved voice. “Hello?”
Masuda sounded stressed, and Tegoshi already felt bad for disturbing him. “Massu, it’s me.”
“Ohh, Yuya. Something’s wrong?”
Tegoshi bit his lip. “Do you have time? You sound…busy.”
Masuda laughed, deep and low, and Tegoshi’s heart immediately felt lighter. “You know, if I don’t have time for you, I make time for you. Is something on your mind?”
Tegoshi hesitated before speaking. “I miss you.”
Masuda was quiet for a moment before laughing lightly. “Already? It’s only two days since I left.”
Tegoshi pouted, and it was a shame that Masuda couldn’t see it. “I’ve had a bad day. A really bad day, okay?”
Masuda laughed, that way he always laughed when Tegoshi behaved like a spoilt kid. “And now you’re sitting alone, being miserable and drinking beer?”
“…Yes.”
Masuda just laughed. “I thought so.”
“I wish that you could be here.”
“Me too. It’s so busy here, but I still miss you.”
“Really?” It was meaningless to ask actually, because Tegoshi knew that Masuda spoke the truth.
“Of course I do. I have to go now, they’re calling for me.”
Tegoshi couldn’t help but feel disappointed, but he tried to hide it when speaking. “Okay. Don’t push yourself, okay?”
“Yeah. You too, please don’t be too sad.”
“I won’t.” In reality, he was already feeling better, just by hearing Masuda’s voice.
“Smile, Yuya. I want you to smile.”
“I’ll try.”
“Bye, I love you.”
“I love you too.”
Even when Masuda had hung up, Tegoshi didn’t feel as bad as before. He closed his eyes, picturing Masuda’s face in his head, feeling how a small smile made its way to his lips.
Yes, this was definitely all he needed.

This is short and pointless, but I wanted to post something >.<
I haven’t updated dear one for far too long due to writer’s block and personal reasons. If there are people who are waiting for it, I’m sorry for the delay! It’s almost finished, I may post chapter 3 tomorrow if I manage to finish it.
I hope you enjoyed this drabble ^.^ Thanks for reading, comments are loved <333
