Pixar's UP

Just watched UP last night. I thought it was wonderful. Never thought an adventure with two characters with such a big gap in age difference can be so entertaining. While most people liked the second half part of movie (that's where most of the action scenes come in), I loved the first half where the story highlighted most of Carl's younger life. I didn't think Up was the best Pixar film, but it was charming in its own right. I also don't raise my expectations high, but I do hope the Princess and the Frog does well. The last thing I would want is business to throw 2D away because it didn't do so hot.

I agree. It certainly wasn't the best but still wonderful. If they wanted action, The Incredibles still has the best action sequences and storyline when it comes to villains. And I still prefer Wall-E over UP.

I think Wall-E and The Incredibles were the only Pixar's movies that I watched more than twice in the cinema. XD

Same. The Incredibles I've seen three times and WALL.E twice in theaters. They are in the top two of my fave Pixar films because they're just so damn good.

I'm a big Pixar fan myself and I certainly loved the story in UP!

As for Disney, I'm glad they're going back to 2D animation and not just that, but taking classic fairy tales and putting their own spin on them again! I've always been a fan of hearing classic tales from different perspectives!

Wow! I just saw Up yesterday, too. I agree that I liked the first half of the movie better; a poignant story is more interesting to me than dogs falling off of things. :)
