I knew going in that today would be nuts. I had 39 on my roster, and the other Earth Science teacher had 52. Adding to the confusion was the fact that the office had switched our rosters AFTER some students had gotten their schedules. Anyhoo ( Read more... )

Only 12 days of summer school? Crazy!

I am impressed by how wrong that class divvying-up went. Someone was not on the ball!

We did two sessions of 5 hours a day for 12 days. Gives them less chances to blow it and be absent. In his defense, the guy running summer school had gall bladder surgery two weeks before me, pretty much when summer school was being planned. Its been crazy. We did it this way last year and it really ran more smoothly. Oh well! I have a nice group of kids.
