If anyone hassles you for not doing holiday decorating, so you abstained due to environmental concerns!! :) Yes, I'm scrooge.

**huggles** I live in fear of the power going out mostly because I'll be sitting around with nothing to do until I get hungry enough to eat plain tuna fish alone.

*laughs at you a little and snuggles you*

If it makes you feel any better, I think nearly every roommate I've had since I moved into this house had no flashlights or candles. One roommate had a flashlight, but she bought that specifically for an upcoming camping trip, so it was just dumb luck. My last roommate used the screen of his cell phone for a flashlight when necessary. *headdesks*

(Let's not discuss the roommate who wanted me to play cards with him because he was genuinely unable to entertain himself for any length of time without electricity.)

*has both candles and flashlights up the wazoo*

I maybe dozed off at 4 or so, and was half asleep-ish when my alarm went off at 5:30 AM. I fumbled my way out of bed, had TEA, then left the apartment with Kate to catch our bus to the airport. We almost missed the bus - Kate had to run and catch it. Then we were waiting for her boyfriend to get off his plane, and it was taking forever and finally I was like, fuck, my plane's gonna leave, I have to go. THEN I was just 5 minutes shy of MISSING CHECK IN (I totally thought they closed that shit much later than they did) and had to do an awkward jog to my gate, then wait impatiently through customs, worrying the whole time that someone was going to discover I had Irish cream whiskey in my suitcase and TAKE IT AWAY FROM ME OMG, then I finally got on my plane. I managed to snatch 45 minutes of sleep on a 7 hour flight, and it is now 12:30 AM, feeling like ( ... )
