Cause, like, it COULD make sense with the mythology. But that little girl has to be possessed [eta] rather than the MANIFESTATION or something of this demonic female who is, sort of by definition of her story, sexually mature.
Yeah. That's part of the reason I don't know where to go with it. Because on one hand, I KNOW the writers have little to no clue what Lilith MEANS and HOW MUCH she means that to Feminist thought. And so I get what they're trying to do there with the Biggest Baddest Demon Lore and all that shit and I LOVE the idea of Lilith as this huge badass with all these complex motivations. But on the other hand, COME ON catch a clue for fuck's sake and understand that this kind of shit MATTERS and I ALSO know they may or may not Go There

Yeah, I was wondering about the whole Lilith thing as well. But is it a demon possession of a little girl? Or, is she like Sam, and just chose to assume the mantle? Like a little evil prodigy as it were.
As for using the whole evil child story device, I'm feeling like it's kind of, well, been done. I'm holding out hope here, but as been said by nilchance, I'd like to see some more examples of powerful good females on the show as well.
As for show order, I think it all works better this way. Sam's choice to be all dark, and willing to kill an innocent in mystery spot is carrying over to him willing to kill the poor virgin girl. Gotta love all the themes of sex, violence, and death wrapped together this season. ;)
It made me think of a scene in Dogma when Bartleby and Loki are talking at the elevator: I digress. :D I see Sam kind of like a pendulum. He has swung to both extremes, and now needs to be brought to middle. At this point Dean is barely keeping him in check. And Ruby is pushing for the fully ruthless Sam. So the question

I facepalm.
Like, srsly? A feminist icon that you decide to turn into a child? I dunno. Maybe they want to turn Gloria Steinem into a vampire for good measure.
(Sorry, I'm kinda bitter.)
