I never thought I'd say this. I actually *enjoyed* The Simpsons Movie! In fact, I spent a a good part of the night wondering why I'd disliked the series all those years ago

you watch, you listen, you learn. you watch *his* eyes get wider with interest. you listen to *him* chortling with abandon glee throughout the movie. and just when you're about to dismiss it as a "boy" thing, you will learn the usefulness of the simpsons in a wife's world! :-)

jokes apart, i think previously i found simpsons way over the top because there was still some idealism left in our world (read: world politics). But now I pretty much identify with the jokes because it's how crappy everything in real-life has turned out to be. Unfortunately, all their satirical jokes are so true.

Red is but a shade of pink. so is black, brown, purple and white. and purple gives blue which with a little bit of yellow gives green. so there, they're all children of de pink! After all this, if you think i'm a pink lover, let me tell you, my Mother of Colours is painted Blue which represents both heaven and hell. :)

Haven't seen it yet, but yes, you should give the series another look-see. It really is all that is good about TV sometimes.
