Lol, I haven't canoed in ages . . . it's not really particularly exciting up here. You have to wait until evening (unless you like early morning-- which I don't :-P), when there are no waves out, and then it's just . . . *go around the lake.* It'll be easier than your day, though, lol . . .

The canoeing kids (the ones who hitched a ride on your canoe, etc . . . ) sound like a lot of the random kids we get up here at the lake. We live two doors down from the public landing, so there are always day-trippers there disobeying the rules and swimming there-- and they often don't realize our raft (the big wooden platform on flotation barrels in front of our house/pier) is, well, um, actually ours, and not public property, and so that's kind of awkward, lol . . . particularly when we want to go out and swim around it. The funniest time was when some kid tried to swim away with it; "it's anchored down, honey; you can't move it!"

I feel sheltered compared to everyone. Even you, now . . . lol . . .

Delayed rating... but 8/10 (a.k.a. 4/5). Pretty good summary, but with such a short entry, it takes a bit away.
