Thank'ee kindly. Guilty though I would feel for taking credit for Rhian's handiwork, t'was me who took and developed the two main photos. Amateurish they are mais je les aime.

The pictures are rather lovely - where did you take them, if you do not mind me enquiring? The icon is very nice too :)

The icon, I do not know if you recognise it, is one of the photos from the Cottingley Fairy Hoax.

The pictures I took in the grounds of my school, or rather "my old school" as I am not quite used to it no longer being mine. There are many daffodils there, as they were the favourite flower of the woman who all those years ago took it upon herself to provide girls with an education. The other is a view upwards, through the ironwork roof of what we call "the temple". I am not sure what its purpose once was. Now it stands, slightly crumbling, behind the tennis courts, which stand where there was once a beautiful fountain. When nobody is playing tennis, and the juniors are in lessons, it's a peaceful place to sit and gaze at the sky.

Thank you for the explanation. That haven of tranquility sounds lovely. Is it separate from the school/older do you know? Perhaps it was part of park land or something previous to the school...

Hope all is well.

The school is on the site of an old house, which was built and lived in by the Duke of Chandos, with Handel as a live in composer, until he went bankrupt however many hundred years ago. The house itself is still there, though lessons on the top floor are freezing torture in the winter, and I guess that the temple is a remnant of the Duke's gardens.

I am fine now, if jet-lagged, and I wish you well with your house move,
