Problem - whilst I've always been quite interested in it, I've never actually read any myself and thus have ( Read more... )

Well, it depends upon her specific interests in magick! It is a vast world, from Paganism, to Shamanism to the Kabbalah and beyond. I can recommend many books, but whether they are in your friend's context of interests - is the question. Perhaps something like 'Visual Magick' by Jan Fries would be a good start. I have heard many good things about it, and I believe it is a good book to study also - covering a range of maigckal topics and theological discussion. Amazon have that I believe.

Good luck!

Thank'ee kindly for the recommendation. I think I shall find myself trekking into central London to Mysteries (wonderful shop) as Amazon says all these books are on limited availability and will take forever and a day to get to me. Ah well...
And I like your lj.

No problem :)

You are lucky. Here in Cardiff (suprisingly - especially with high Pagan/Celtic population) there seem to be no such stores. Though there is a rather nice 3-floored second handbook store that you can loose yourself within, and sometimes find something useful...

Thanks, and I like yours :)
