NaBloPoMo 2013 / Day 13
I'm not sure if they mean Nationals or Kanto, but I'm going to focus on Kanto because Seigaku winning this was absolute bullshit. For starters, if they had lost they still would have gone to Nationals. Secondly, they weren't exactly playing for something as serious.
Now y'all know how much I adore Tezuka, but come on, his being in Kyushu for his shoulder was not exactly as serious as Yukimura going for life-or-death surgery. Rikkai were playing not knowing whether or not their buchou and friend (in some cases, best friend) was going to be alive when they came back.
I'm also going to argue that the loss to Rikkai at Kanto would have made them more hungry to take Nationals by storm. When you come so close and then lose... that makes you hungrier for the win.
Also, I'm sorry, but no. Sanada should have completely and utterly destroyed Echizen. Konomi purposefully weakened one of the strongest players in the series so Echizen could be the hero (again). (And I say this liking Echizen.) Fuck that noise.
