Okay, so I kind of had this rant rattling around inside my head since psychology yesterday, but then I remembered that Sars had already said everything I wanted to say, only way more articulately. So everyone should go read this essay, especially the last paragraph.

I agree that the sexes should have social equality.

But what a lot of feminists don't realize is that the sexes are different in fundemental ways. Our brains work differently, our bodies work differently etc.
For instance:
You take an average male and an average female. You train them identically and in equal amounts. The male will win in a race, or in shot put, or javalin throw, or the marathon, etc.
(note: I know there are millions of women in this world who could easily beat the everloving shit out of me, I am just talking about pure averages.)

This is a fact, just look at the olympics. The womens scores are overwhealminly lower than the males.

Men have more physical prowess. It's just true.
This is not a sexist statement until I say that becasue of this fact men are better than women, that they are more human than women.
This is simply not true.

We can have social equality, but as for anything else, it just can't be done.

When you say "what a lot of feminists don't realize..." I'm going to have to argue that you don't really know what most feminists really think. As the essay stated, feminism is about political, economic, and social equality. Most feminists I know are aware that there are fundamental biological differences between men and women. But just because a women might not be able to run as fast as a man doesn't mean she shouldn't be allowed to participate in the olympics, you know? I don't think it's sexist to have separate events for men and women; I would think it was sexist if there were no events for women at all. I have a feeling that when you think of the word 'feminist', you think of radical feminists (or feminazis, though I despise that word because it was coined by Rush Limbaugh and also breaks Godwin's Law ( ... )

I'm fine with seperate events in the olympics. I think it would unfair to women if they did just have one event in fact.

Every group has radiacls in it, and most of the time it's these people who make the entire movement look like bunk.
If you go to extreme into anything you become excatly what you hate.

Feminists who take it too far want to oppress males, which is exactly what they should hate as they origninally wanted the sexes to be equal.
Fanatic Pro-life people somtimes kill abortion doctors, creating death when the y are fighting aginst death.
Fanatic Pro-Choice people hate the religious people because they are closed minded and won't listen to reason, when they themselves won't listen to any reasons, as they are so set in their opinion.

It happens everywhere, and it's the 5% that ruins it for the other 95%.

Then I guess I'm a feminist.
A Menshivik feminist, not a bolshevik.
