Just about everyone knows now that a near full facial transplant has been successfully done in the US.  It's pretty groundbreaking stuff, but really, I'm kinda surprised it's so late coming--after all, we've been transplanting much more complicated organs for decades now.

But they will look human. And to a burn victim, an accident victim, or someone whose face has been irretrievably disfigured, this is a Godsend in ways that transcend explanation.
