I'm not sure that we will ever get a real "why", because I'm not sure there will actually be one. but yes, I hope that there will be some more answers.

I really hope her kids will be alright, since she loved them so much. this is just a horrible way to start into a new year.

What???? That is a shock for me. (Yours is the first comment I see.) I wished her merry X-Mas in juicy_grapes, that's the last I've heard from her.

I'm very sorry to hear the news of her passing. My condolences for her family.

I think the whole graphics community is pretty much in shock, since she was a big part as it, being a very active member and graphics lover and now being a maker herself.
as far as I can tell it was a very sudden death and no one expected it. v___v

....their account can be placed in "memorial" status. This disables future entries by the account, but allows for comments on existing entries. It also prevents the journal from being deleted for inactivity in the future.

That means if they want to keep it. But for me my LJ is for keeping memories. Just saying.
Maybe you can let them know?

it all started with comments on her FB page, but nothing was clear so we were all hoping it just wouldn't be true. but it's been confirmed now by her family so... yeah...

I'm still in shock and can't comprehend it. She was so much a part of our lives. It's still unreal.

yes, she was... and imagining LJ without her is hard.. really hard... v__v

and since we mostly just knew her via internet... it's really hard to make it feel real. because I could easily go on pretending that she just left LJ, but could still be alive somewhere.. *sigh*
