Fall light

I love how the light changes this time of year. In the spring it's sharp and bright, not filtered by trees. Now, it's softer, bluer, colder, but still picking up warmth from the trees and plants turning yellow and orange. Many plants, like roses, are still pushing but not focussed, not 100% in all aspects, so the flowers and leaves don't have ( Read more... )

The leaves are Houttuynia cordata 'Chameleon'; the pink flowers are from a weed.

Love the first, second and the last one. Beautiful light. What focal length and f/stop were you using?

The lens was my 50mm 1.4 shot at 1.8, so it would be the same as the cheaper 50mm 1.8 shot wide open (where the quality is, from what I've read, the same.) ISO 160 on a D200.

What machine are you viewing them on?

17" iMac with Intel Processor.

I want the D7000.

Guessed it was an iMac; the colors don't look as good on my pcs.

The D7000 really does look like a sweet-spot camera.
