Something or other... make up your own subject line!

So last entry, I mentioned the only crush I have at the moment... the one I haven't been at all tempted to act on because it's just a bad idea? Yeah... I decided to tell her about the existence of said crush. Not cause I decided anything would/could/should happen, just to make it clear how I feel. I mean, I thought it was apparent enough before, ( Read more... )

I definitely agree with some of the hatred for big drug companies (microbicides and HIV/AIDS prevention, anyone?), but I have to point out how ironic it is to "fight the man" by not taking drugs. Oh, the Seventies are so far gone...

Gee, I thought you were talking about your HumBio group being a miserable group of SOBs. *twirls blond hair* I mean, anytime you and Kat get together, it's a debate war. Smite her down!

I agreed with you until "don't take lots of drugs. Prevention is the best health care. Says Daniel "I haven't been to a doctor in like 2 years and I'm loving it" Herriges."

Uh... my drugs are the reason I don't feel an overwhelming desire to cut myself and do bad things...
Doctors are cool, yo. Just wait until you have a brain tumor. Try to prevent that.

Still, it's better to take generic drugs if one has the choice. It nearly killed me to listen to your HumBio group in here yesterday and not start ranting about medication, etc.

Labels suck! yeah, says The Lesbian.

I see your already catching flack for not liking big pharma, but I'm with you on this one. Yeah they've made some wonderful drugs that have saved millions, but right now they are such greedy group of bastards. The fact that the FDA gets pushed around by them, the very group they are supposed to be regulating, so that things like phenfen and the like get though while the morning after pill was scrutnied beyond belief is sickening. Also the way they push doctors to prescribe some drugs despite side effects. They do great things but they act in such an unethical way these days./rant. Yeah I think I'm with you on this one.

As for going to the doctor, go when you're sick or something isn't the way it should be. There isn't really any reason for regular check ups at our age.

Oh, it was. I think it's hilarious in retrospect. Man... I was a dumbass.

I think it's impossible to be in junior high and not be a dumbass, actually.
