The Game was this weekend. The Game, much like last year's, was amazing. The Game, for those not at Stanford, is a tradition out here: it's a scavenger hunt (technically I guess a treasure hunt, as it's a series of clues each leading to the next) around the entire Bay Area. You race other teams to the finish line. It can take 12 hours or more. This ( Read more... )

The Game sounds hella fucking fun. I wish my school cared enough to do shit like that. Though, if it did, the students wouldn't care. It would just be me.

And according to my results of that quiz, we should never date.

Wow, it's impressive that someone was even familiar enough with the Danville area to send you to Mount Diablo... you were near my homeland. :P

If you end up at Stanford, bug your RAs about The Game early on in the school year to make sure they're planning one. I was disappointed to learn recently that some of the freshmen dorms don't do it.

Usually a group of dorms, so that there are enough teams that want to play and enough RAs that want to plan it. Ours was huge this year... about 20 teams (though only 5 finished, the rest dropped out). All the clues were written by 4 RAs, but they enlisted like 15 different people to do shifts manning the phones all night at "Game Control."
