This has been popping up on friends' LJs. I like it. Let's see if I can do it without having print copies of all the books here:

#2: The Culture of Make Believe by Derrick Jensen. In the vein of Ishmael, except nonfiction, and well researched, and more intelligent and nuanced, and absolutely world-shaking to read.

The one with the poem is The Perks of Being a Wallflower, by somebody with a weird last name.

The one with the guy writing in his diary is Ecotopia by Ernest Callenbach, which you lent to me I believe.

The Orwell one is Homage to Catalonia, about his time in Spain during the civil war. It's not a literary masterpiece, but I enjoyed it a lot b/c of my interest in said war and in anarchism.

Dune is awesome, if you like science fiction at all.
