yay for joey!!!!

i have a new kitten!!!!!!!!!!!!! i will post pics on my photobucket tomorrow but basically he is gray with white sections... and he is 8 weeks SO TINY probably like 2 lbs, was the runt of the litter, ummm the sweetest little guy ever he purrs the moment you pick him up and doesn't stop until you leave him alone at which point he starts crying

I read somewhere that when you introduce a new pet to your family, you keep it apart from the new addition except for a couple hours a day when you let them get used to each other. each time you let them be in the same room together you lengthen the time, eventually they dont' feel so threatened :-) plus you pay lots of attention to your old kitty so it doesnt' feel left out :-)

thanks buddy!! we have build like a little room for joey in my moms bathroom and we have been taking him out a for like a half hour or so a few times a day and tigger is getting better about it.. he still hisses and he hisses at me after i smell like him but as soon as i change my shirt he is all better.. i talked to a friend that had the same sitation and she said that her cats hissed at each other for a few days and then they finally realized that they weren't a threat to each other and they were all going to be staying there so they started getting along. so yeah i'm now just waiting for tigger to get over and for joey to stop being afraid of him!! :)

ps. you said "hate" a new kitten when I'm pretty sure you mean "have" a new kitten :-P
