Today was a nice day. I sent foot outside the house once; to sweep the fallen fruit from what I think is a small-leaved fig (okay I have no idea what kind of fig it is. Oh god, I know what you mean! At my house here, it's plums. They're really bitter, and they drop all over the place and make the ground slippery. I had a similar fruit issue in Utah, mostly because the juice would get on my shoes, and then the ants would swarm the base of my door. It was so weird, since the actual fruit was everywhere, but they chose to pile up at my door. It was seriously pretty scary to look over and see. I don't mind bugs at all, in fact I like them, but not much prepares you for glancing over at your bedroom door (my room was outside of the house) and seeing a writhing, two inch high, black mass. All for the JUICE. Those guys sucked at their job.
