This is probably a bit superfluous, but Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin - a name I can never remember) is utterly amazing and if you've got the stomach for it, it's pretty bloody, you should definitely watch it if you haven't already

Attack on Titan sounds really good, I've been trying to get into the mindset to watch it. Everyone is disowning me for not having seen it, lol.

I know this is an older post, but have you seen One Piece? Once I got into that one, the plot really knocked me for a loop. The vast amount of character development, even from passing faces, making me cry my eyes out; it just hits all of the feels.

Fairy Tale is great, although I haven't seen as much of it as I'd like to.

Bleach, sans filler, is awesome.

One from the classics list, because it often gets overlooked, Irresponsible Captain Tyler.

Others I like are Ronin Warriors (because that is the cartoon of my childhood <3), Junjou Romantica (short and sweet, series of romances), and Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children (a visually beautiful movie, though it you haven't played the game, it really doesn't make as much sense).

And although it isn't technically anime, holy crap do I love Dragon Ball Z Abridged! Starts a little slow, but that show brings me tears of laughter at times.
