Hey girl . . . don't worry about it. Just thank God you have a live journal to complain about this to everyone. I don't know what Ed said about Olives, and I'm sure I will find out soon, BUT, SCG has played there numerous times and all we get is pizza. No money, nothing. We're only allowed one person on the guestlist. We're not even getting paid, we should have as many people on the guestlist as we want. It's definately not fair. Shows are starting to suck a lot. . . for the bands and for the fans. Peace.

Come and fight me. Let me ask you, how do you think I pay for my PA? My PA system costs close to $15,000. Do you honestly think I've taken home $15,000 from my shows in the past 2 1/2 years. NOT EVEN CLOSE! And would I need a PA system if I wasn't putting on shows. I guess I could get away with out one if I made the bands bring it with them. And what makes you think that I pay practically no rent? Have you ever talked to me about how my shows work? As much as you claim I don't know how your business works, you know even less about how my business works

haha, it's cool...i know what you mean. yeah, we charge a cover for the 21+ shows...but that's, again, how the bands get paid. it works on a different system than the all ages shows, so i am not going to get into it here. i do understand your frustration though.

whatever..the reason i don't want to be bashed is because i'm not booking the shows, i just happen to be involved in the scene, and at the same time, the daughter of a club-owner. so yes, i take it personally when people bash olive's. it's my family business..get it? it's not because i personally book the shows or anything (i used to but now i'm at school). whatever, most of these people don't even know what they're talking about.
