mso-ansi-language:EN-US">A 6-year-old boy sat on a bench of the park. It wasn’t probably the best idea since it was dark and cold, but somehow he felt safer in there, trying to cover himself from the wind.
mso-ansi-language:EN-US">He was crying. Parents were supposed to love you and understand you. Not fear you if you happened to be different. So he sat there, letting all the tears pour down from his insides.
mso-ansi-language:EN-US">He just wanted to be loved, accepted and happy.
mso-ansi-language:EN-US">The boy heard some bushes move suddenly, and he stopped crying as fear overcame him. Two adult men approached him.
mso-ansi-language:EN-US">“Oh, what is this pretty boy doing here all alone?” One of the men said as he sat beside the little boy. He was wearing a smirk that the boy didn’t like at all.
mso-ansi-language:EN-US">The little boy just gulped, not finding his voice. The man put a hand on the little boy’s knee and caressed it.
mso-ansi-language:EN-US">He just couldn’t understand, his insides were screaming that this was wrong. That this man was no good, but he just looked up at the man. Maybe this man would accept him.
mso-ansi-language:EN-US">Suddenly the other man grabbed him by the wrist and put a hand over his mouth. That is when the boy knew this wasn’t good. Neither of them cared for him. They just wanted to hurt him.
mso-ansi-language:EN-US">The little boy sighed as he watched the man in front of him died in a matter of seconds. He was pulled up by the neck by some kind of invisible force. He tried to fight, but suddenly his neck was broken and he fell on the ground.
mso-ansi-language:EN-US">Before the man that had been holding the boy could do something, the same thing happened to him.
mso-ansi-language:EN-US">The little boy sat again on the bench, and put his legs up, bending them so he could hugged them as his chin rested on them. He closed his eyes and more tears fell down from his eyes.
mso-ansi-language:EN-US">All he asked was for someone to care, for someone to trust, for someone to love. He wanted to call someone dad, mom, noona or hyung and be treated with respect.
mso-ansi-language:EN-US">He felt something warm on his shoulders and he opened his eyes immediately, looking up.
mso-ansi-language:EN-US">His puffy eyes met mismatched ones. The little boy felt warmth run all over his little body. His heart swells as he watched an older boy look down at him with a smile as he put a jacket over the little boy’s shoulder.
mso-ansi-language:EN-US">“You must be really cold,” the older boy said. He looked around 12 years old. “I saw what you did to those men,” he finished.
mso-ansi-language:EN-US">The little boy flinched, getting ready for hatred and disrespect, for pain and harsh words wishing for him to be dead, telling him how he wasn’t worth it, that he was better off dead to let people live happily because he was a monster.
mso-ansi-language:EN-US">The older boy smiled at him and showed him his collarbones. “I’m not gonna hurt you,” he said.
mso-ansi-language:EN-US">The little boy widened his eyes at the sight of red scales. This boy was like him. He wasn’t alone. Suddenly hope rose inside him and he threw himself on the older boy, hugging him as tightly as he could as more tears and sobs escaped from his little plush lips.
mso-ansi-language:EN-US">The older boy wrapped his arms around the little boy and patted his head softly, trying to comfort the little boy. “It’s ok. I’m not gonna let anything bad happen to you.”
mso-ansi-language:EN-US">The little boy broke the hug and sat straight again, drying his remaining tears with his hands. “Thank you,” he mumbled.
mso-ansi-language:EN-US">The older boy nodded, and patted the boy’s head slightly. “My name is Changmin. What’s yours?” He asked.
mso-ansi-language:EN-US">“J-Jongin,” the little boy answered, trying to smile.
mso-ansi-language:EN-US">“Well, Jongin, you’re lucky that I was passing by. I’m hungry, and you must be as well. Want something to eat?” Changmin asked. He offered his hand to the little boy.
mso-ansi-language:EN-US">Jongin nodded happily, and took Changmin’s hand.
mso-ansi-language:EN-US">Both boys walked away, not even looking back at the bodies on the floor.

“What are you thinking about, Kai?”
Kai suddenly was pulled out of his memories. He blinked a few times, looking at Sehun, who looked at him expectantly as they lay naked on the bed. “I’m sorry. What?”
Sehun laughed. “You obviously weren’t here. So, where were you?” He asked, raising one eyebrow. “I don’t like when you ignore me for whatever that is in your head.” He pouted.
“I was just remembering how I met Changmin,” Kai responded.
Sehun stayed silent for a few seconds. “You must have a strong bond…” he spat, feeling jealousy rising inside him. “You seem to care for him a lot.”
Kai laughed. “Well, I love him as my hyung, nothing more,” Kai explained, feeling somehow happy and proud that Sehun seemed to be jealous of Changmin. “He took care of me when I was a child, and protected me when we lived on the streets. He was the only person that cared for me,” he said in a serious tone, looking directly at Sehun. “He taught me the good and the bad from this world, and that’s why I owe him so much.”
“You sound like you’re in love with him,” Sehun mumbled, pouting as he looked down. “I don’t like him, he tried to kill me,” he added.
Kai reached for Sehun’s chin and made him look up at him. “It was just a misunderstanding,” he started. “Changmin’s instincts led him to you because he could feel a diclonius presence in you, but not quite since we hadn’t had completed the process back then. So he was confused, and you were near, so all his senses went on alert.”
“You better arrive sooner if he gets closer again,” Sehun commanded, punching Kai’s arm slightly. “It’s not funny to pass out, believing you’re gonna die and wake up, knowing your boyfriend didn’t even punch the one who did that to you.”
“That won’t happen again,” Kai reassured his lover as he rubbed his arm. Sehun seemed to punch quite hard. “We’ve mated now. All diclonius should be able to feel that you belong to me and that you’re just a human. But…what’s a boyfriend?”
Sehun rolled his eyes and huffed in annoyance. How come he got himself into this?!
“What we are. You are my boyfriend now and I’m your boyfriend,” Sehun explained carefully. “You are only able to have one boyfriend and be loyal to him. You have to make him happy and buy him lots of stuff with the money Kyuhyun or Chanyeol give you.”
Kai nodded. “So, why don’t we go out later? Maybe go for that thing you like to drink a lot,” he suggested, getting excited at the thought.
“As in a date?” Sehun asked, trying not to blush.
“Date? I don’t know what day is today…” Kai was confused now. Sometimes it was as if Chanyeol and Sehun talked in another language.
“Dating is what boyfriends do. You go out and have a good time,” Sehun explained as best as he could. It was hard to explain something that usually was common sense and everybody just knew.
“Oh,” Kai nodded in understanding. “But, can we mate again before going out on a date?” He asked, already pinning Sehun beneath him.
Sehun didn’t respond. He just pulled Kai down on a fiery kiss.

Max didn’t know what to do. He was scared and confused, and he didn’t know what to think about the whole situation. Why he couldn’t remember a single thing? What had he and Yunho done?
He walked towards the bed and sat on it, wincing as he felt his ass sore for some reason. He made his way under the covers, and sighed. What is possible that Yunho had been the one causing him this pain?
Max shook his head. That was insane; Yunho would never ever hurt him in any way. He lay down, looking at the ceiling, feeling suddenly very tired, like if he had been walking for hours and hours. His inner thighs ached as well.
He heard Yunho knock on the door, asking for permission to come inside even though he hadn’t locked it. Max stared at the closed door and bit his lip, trying to decide his next words.
“Come in,” Max finally said, trying not to sound so insecure.
Yunho opened the door and closed it behind him, searching for Max’s expression. He didn’t really know what he had done wrong. He was sure Max had wanted it. He had even told Yunho that he needed him, and wanted to have him.
What the fuck then?
Why had Max looked so confused afterwards? Maybe, maybe he was sick or felt bad. Yunho didn’t really know what to think anymore.
“Are you ok?” Yunho asked, making his way to the bed and sitting on it, just beside Max. “Look…I’m sorry if I did something wrong. I just…I love you. A lot. And…I’m sorry if I fo-“
He was interrupted by Max, who kissed him softly. It was merely a peck, but it was enough to reassure and shut Yunho up.
Max yawned and he got fully under the covers of the bed. “Sleep, now,” he said, before laying down and turning around so his back was facing Yunho. “Night.”
Yunho just stayed there, trying to think about what the hell has just happened. He was beyond confused now. Sighing, he decided that maybe he should go to sleep as well and see what thing will bring tomorrow.

The next morning the bedroom door finally opened. Kai stepped out, smiling along with Sehun, who was happy to be out of the place. Even though he loved Kai, and loved how he could make his body feel, he missed the outside world and his beloved PS3.
“I’m really hungry,” the younger mentioned as Kai led him into the kitchen.
They reached the enormous kitchen and stopped when they saw Chanyeol sitting at the island counter with Kyu hyung. They looked like they were having a serious conversation.
Kyu hyung was explaining something to Chanyeol using hand gestures, and Chanyeol looked a bit upset. Sehun was really curious and he dared to talk himself into the conversation.
“Channie,” Sehun said carefully. “How are you this morning?”
Chanyeol smiled at Sehun and greeted him back. He turned to glare at Kai and got up, going to put his plate in the sink, before leaving the kitchen without another word.
Kyuhyun observed the interaction and frowned. He finished his coffee in one sip and turned to look at his cousin. “What’s going on?” He asked the two remaining teens. “I got a call from Chanyeol two days ago, and he seemed really upset.”
Sehun gulped. He had just realized that probably Kyuhyun knew now what he and Kai had done.
The older man seemed to read his cousin easily, because he focused on Sehun. “We’ll talk about that later,” he warned. “I wanna know what happened with Chanyeol.”
“I don’t know,” Sehun responded hastily. He turned to see Kai, who yawned. Suddenly, he remembered the glare that Chanyeol directed to his boyfriend. “What did you do?”
“Huh?” Kai looked confused. “What did I do about what?”
“Did you make Chanyeol angry?” Sehun asked, starting to feel annoyed. “He glared at you.”
“I didn’t do anything!” Kai defended himself. “He’s just being fucking weird!”
Kyuhyun stood up and walked over to them. “Whatever the fuck is going on in this house better get fixed before I come back this evening. I will not have Chanyeol upset and erratic. His emotional waves will attract the attention of the corp, and you…” he said pointing at Kai. “You will be captured along with him. So whatever is going on fix it!”
Kyuhyun walked out, before popping back in to glare at the teens. “And find Changmin now! The twins, more so Heejun, are breathing down my neck about him. If you don’t get a move on it, I’ll take matters in my own hands and find him myself. The endnote won’t be pretty. Do you understand me?”
Kai and Kyuhyun stared at each other until Kai rolled his eyes. “I understand,” he groaned, trying not to look as annoyed as he felt.
If only Kyuhyun wasn’t someone so important to Sehun…
Sehun looked at Kai, and shook his head. “You better fix all of this before we go out on a date Kai. I’m serious and so is Kyu hyung.”
“Fine!” He exclaimed, visibly upset now. “I’ll fix it and we’ll all go out to lunch.”
Sehun narrowed his eyes. “And if you don’t…just think about all the things I won’t let you do to me,” he warned.
Kai groaned out loud. So great for not being hungry anymore.
****
Max woke up to something that smelled delicious from the kitchen. His tummy was making noises out of hunger. He sat up and rubbed his eyes, yawning in the process.
He looked around, trying to spot Yunho, but failed. He got up from the bed, and went to the closet to grab some of the clothes BoA had bought for him, before heading to the bathroom to take a shower.
Max looked at the shower, and remembered what Yunho had shown him. He turned on the hot water, and got in the shower, still half asleep.
“Ah!” He screamed as he stepped out of it water stream.
There were footsteps coming into the bedroom, and the bathroom door being slammed open.
“Max!” Yunho screamed and pulled open the shower curtain. “What happened? Are you ok?” He asked concerned.
Max pointed to the water. “Too hot!”
Yunho looked at him and snorted, shaking his head a little. “You forgot the cold water,” he said turning the tap.
Max nodded, blushing slightly at how stupid he felt. He stuck out a hand carefully to feel the water warm up. “Good.”
Yunho laughed and leaned in to press a small kiss to Max’s wet shoulder. “Hurry up and come out. Donghae is here and he brought breakfast.”
The young man nodded. “Ok.”
Yunho smiled, and closed the curtain and bathroom door. Max finished up -not without getting shampoo in his eyes- and got out. He dried himself off, put on his clothes and brushed his teeth.
Once he was finished, he stepped back into the bedroom to drop off his clothes, and saw Mangdoogie sitting on his pillow. She barked when she saw him and waddled over to him.
“Morning,” he said picking her up and petting her gently.
He walked out into the living room to see Donghae and Yunho watching the news. They were reporting on the brutal killing of three teenagers a few days ago. Apparently the boys had been dismembered, and they were trying to identify them.
Something stirred inside Max, and the little puppy barked at the TV. Both men jumped at the noise as they turned to look at Max and Mangdongie.
“This is crazy,” Yunho said, shaking his head in disbelief. “Who could be sick enough to do that?”
“Maybe the mafia, drug cartels or a serial killer,” Donghae suggested. “I just hope no serial killer is on the loose.”
Max looked confused, and was about to ask a question, when Donghae waved him over.
“Come get breakfast, Max!” Donghae said pulling out a chair.
Max walked over and sat down after the little puppy jumped off his lap. Yunho served him a plate of sweet egg sandwich, and kissed his forehead.
“Ok,” Donghae said after chewing. “You’re kissing him now. What did I miss?”
Yunho blushed. “N-Nothing.”
“Really?” Donghae said with an eyebrow raised. “Are you guys sleeping together or something?”
No one said anything for different reasons: Max for stuffing his face with the apparently delicious breakfast, and Yunho for blushing.
“Oh My God, you have!” Donghae exclaimed after looking at his friend reaction. He just couldn’t believe it! Oh, Yunho was so gonna get teased from now on! “Was it good? Were you on top Yun?”
Yunho fanned himself, and Max looked up confused. “Huh?”
“It’s none of your business, Hae!” Yunho scolded him.
“It is my business,” Donghae declared, smiling deviously. “You guys are fucking! You’re boyfriends!”
Max swallowed what he was munching and looked at Donghae. “Boyfriends?” He asked titling his head a bit. “What is that?”
Yunho and Donghae looked at him for a few seconds. “You don’t know what a boyfriend is?” They asked at the same time.
“No, I don’t know,” the younger said quietly. “But, it’s good right? Boyfriends?” He asked, hoping that it would mean as much as Yunho meant to him.
“Yeah Max,” Yunho said, nodding. He smiled at the boy, and looked at him with love and devotion. “It means we care for each other, and love each other.”
“Love...” Max tried out with a smile. “Max loves Yunho!” He said, clapping his hands excitedly. “Kiss!”
Yunho leaned down and placed a kiss onto Max plush lips. It was soft and chaste, but both men smiled before being broken away by Donghae’s presence.
Donghae made gaging sounds. “You guys, I’m eating! Stop being so nauseatingly cute!”
Both smiled, and everyone continued their breakfast until Max noticed something. “Where’s BoA?” He asked.
Yunho looked around. “I don’t know. She had a date yesterday.”
“She did?” Donghae asked, frowning.
Yunho sighed. “Yes, she did and get over your crush, dude! She’s way out of your league.” He told his friend, patting his back slightly.
“Where is she?” Max asked worried for his friend.
Yunho shrugged and pulled out his phone. “I’ll call her and find out.”
“I hope she didn’t spend the night with that douche bag,” the other said highly upset that his crush over three years went on a date. “What does he have that I don’t have?”
“A high paying doctor job?” Yunho responded with a smirk. “A good looking face?” He continued.
Donghae gave Yunho a middle finger, as they continued with their breakfast.

Kai, Chanyeol, and Sehun walked around the farmers market. Chanyeol walked way behind the couple, and Sehun kept looking back at his friend.
“Talk to him now!” Sehun hissed breaking himself out of Kai’s grip.
Sehun made his way to the bubble tea stand, glaring at Kai the whole way. Kai just sighed as he watched his boyfriend walk away. Chanyeol was about to walk in the other direction, when he felt one of Kai’s vectors encircle his wrist.
“Let’s talk,” Kai finally said.
Chanyeol looked at him with deadly eyes, and Kai immediately removed his vectors not really wanting to start a fight right now.
“Don’t touch me,” Chanyeol spat.
“Why are you so hostile?” Kai asked confused. “What the fuck is wrong with you?”
The older teen looked at Kai and frowned. “It’s nothing.”
“Are you jealous of me and Sehun mating or something?” Kai asked, getting really tired of the older diclonius attitude. Why didn’t he just tell him what was wrong or what he had done?! Chanyeol stayed silent for a few seconds and Kai laughed. “You are! I can’t believe y-” he stopped as he saw Chanyeol look down with hurt in his eyes. “Hyung…”
The older boy looked up at him. “You don’t have to rub your relationship in my face. Just because I haven’t found my mate and am a little slow at the whole imprinting thing doesn’t mean I’m different or not normal.”
“I didn’t mean it, Chanyeol,” Kai said quietly, knowing that all this was about that time when Chanyeol interrupted him and Sehun mating, that Kai ended up snapping at him and slamming the door closed on his face. “You will find your mate, eventually.”
The older boy frowned. “You don’t have to worry about me being around anymore. I asked Kyu Hyung if I can go back to the corp when he comes down again.”
“Can you stop being a pain in the ass? I apologize! Are you happy now?” Kai asked, getting upset at the other’s attitude. “You can’t leave! Sehun would blame this all on me!”
Chanyeol frowned more. “Is that all you care about?”
“He’s my mate,” Kai said plainly.
Chanyeol was hurt. He didn’t exactly know what he was feeling at the moment. It was just that something was bothering him. “Well, then I don’t care!”
Kai rolled his eyes. “I’ll talk to you when you stop acting like a fucking spoiled brat,” he said before walking off, leaving him alone.
“Whatever,” Chanyeol groaned, and went to search for Sehun.

Max, Yunho, and Donghae went to the local farmers market after they finished their breakfast. They had called BoA, asking if she wanted to come along, but she told them that she was going to spend a couple of days with their parents. Apparently, her mom wasn’t feeling so well since yesterday night.
At the market, Max tried a lot of different foods. He looked like a kid in a candy store as he squealed almost over everything food related. He seemed really happy and comfortable.
Yunho fed him chocolate covered strawberries, and kissed him at any given chance.
Max would blush at every single kiss, feeling his heart beat faster at any shown of affection from Yunho.
“What do you want to try now, Max?” Yunho asked, squeezing slightly on Max’s hand in his.
Max looked deep in thought. “Water,” he responded after a while, looking a bit embarrassed.
Yunho laughed. “You’re thirsty,” he affirmed. “Want me to buy a bottle of water after we find somewhere to sit?”
Max nodded. They walked by a few stands, until they saw a bench on the side. Max sat on it as Yunho smiled down at him. “I’ll be right back, and please don’t move because I was so worried the other time.”
“I won’t,” Max responded. Yunho leaned down to kiss him before going to buy the water.
Not even a minute passed, when a young looking guy approached him. His skin was tanned and his eye smile was too familiar for Max. “Hello, can I sit here?” The young boy asked, pointing at seat beside Max.
Max didn’t know what to do. Should he save the spot for Yunho, or let the boy sit.
“Yes, you can,” Max responded after some inner battle. He guessed that making new friends wouldn’t be that bad.
The young boy sat down and sighed, resting on the back of the chair as he stirred his arms upwards. “So, you’re Max, right?” He asked, turning to look intently at Max, with a smile on his face.
Max widened his eyes. How? How did this boy know his name? “Yes, my name is Max. What’s yours?” Yunho and BoA had told him to be careful around people, but for some reason this boy made his trust in him. It was as if he knew him. “And how do you know my name?”
The boy laughed. “Let’s say I’m a friend of a friend of yours,” the boy said. “And my name is Jongin. Nice to meet you,” he added, extended a hand for Max to take.
Max’s chest tightened. So, this guy knew him from before or he was a friend of Yunho, Donghae or BoA? There were so many questions in his head. “Nice to meet you, Jongin,” he said, taking the other boy’s hand, for a shake.
Jongin smiled. “You can call me Kai,” he said, shaking their hands. “But, can you let me talk to Changmin for a moment? I need to tell him something important.”
Max looked up at him with confusion in his eyes. Suddenly, his head started to ache, and he started to feel dizzy.
