Go see MILK! When I was watching it I actually thought about you & how you would probably really enjoy it. All the political activism stuff was really inspiring.

I love that bag too. I have the smaller version in turquoise, that I bought in Greece :)

We didn't get a chance to watch it the other night. I'm looking forward to watching it. It looks like the kind of story I would enjoy!

Hey, I'm glad you enjoyed Milk! I agree it was a very powerful film, and I think quite necessary at this point. It's a sad reality that the gay community is still dealing (at least in the States) with the same issues it was 30 years ago.

I agree-I think the movie was really timely. It really showed how much has changed, yet at the same time how little. It's kind of crazy to think all of those protests were happening right around the time I was born, which really isn't THAT long ago. Yet, I think a lot of the discrimination and negativity still remains...it's just more under the surface; ie. someone like Anita Bryant probably wouldn't get as much mainstream attention as she did in the 70's because it just wouldn't be considered "politically correct" however I know a lot of people still think like her.
