I'm a sweat lodge convert!

This weekend I went to Awakening Isis (a pagan festival in Kazabazoua, Québec: http://www.awakeningisis.com) and participated in a sweat lodge. There are other cultures that use the Sweat as a form of meditation and purification. Off the top of my head, the Asatru also use it.

At a particularly cold and wet KG two years ago, Oz held an Asatru sweat in a specially made tent with a stove and hot rocks. He led us on a guided meditation, handed out runes, explained what they meant, and we continued to meditates on their personal meanings.

Wow, that sounds like it must have been a moving experience. I've been wanting to do some more guided meditations, I find that it helps keep my focus. Do you think he'll do that again this year?

It always depends on demand. I'll go on the KG list and see if anyone bites for it. Having a few different types of Sweats might be interesting for comparison!

Well the KG LJ isn't actually all that busy... it'll be a little bit after the festival with but that's about it.
