In many ways, I hate my days off. I have nothing productive to fill them with except my own thoughts, which are scary enough. I've no friends, being online 24/7 is not really an option and masturbating several times until you're ejaculating pure salt gets old real quick. So, right now I'm feeling very asexual, very alone and very bored. I do have ( Read more... )

Again, the Troll draws upon the eclectic lives of his friends (but never himself you understand) to provide a word of encouragement ( ... )

Thanks for this, Rob. I guess the one thing that differentiates the situations is that my move is from UK to US, which is apparently 100 times harder than US-UK. You see, whilst the UK is quite happy to let in illegal immigrants and genuine foreign nationals, the U.S (barring allowing any unsavoury South American to cross from Mexico) holds a tight reign on any genuine immigrant, who is at the whim of whomever they speak to on the day of their immigration being processed. Not to mention the money you have to spend, and forms to fill in.

But you're right, marriage and a wedding is one of convenience in the beginning.

Much more internal beating-up-of-myself to come no doubt.

Ya know, I get relaly bored on my days off too. Being around people annoys me - if it's not being typed, I can't say it, sort of thing!

touched a nerve.... f_l_i_r_t June 17 2003, 08:06:29 UTC
as you know, I have moved from US to UK, and currently considering moving back to the UK, all in the name of love? that elusive, unpredictable thing...yes. *soft smile*

do not do it if you are not doing it for YOU, as much as 'you & Kerry'. do you like America? ...do you want to learn a new culture? ...is it what you want for you? ....would you want to live there if it were not to be with Kerry? if any of the answers are no then I think you have every reason to have doubts.

if you are just afraid, then face your fears, go for it, do not let fear set you into complacency. live in a place of love, guess what, you DO deserve to be happy, what makes you happy.

ultimatly that is the questions:
"What makes you happy?"

it is very difficult to get legal status in the USA, much easier for someone to come to the UK and get legal status. even marriage is not a sure bet. after being married for 5 years, they force you to denounce you UK citizenship and take the USA test to become full fledged citizen, if you do not, you have to move back ( ... )

Thank you for this.. sorry it's taken a while to reply.. nerve touching indeed. Answers to all the questions you posed change in my mind everyday.

I think I'm just nervous about working in the U.S. and of course, going through the legal side of it. It will be hard, no doubt.

Hope you are feeling better

thanks for the note, nice to hear from you once in awhile... glad to hear you have a trip back to see your girl. *soft smile* I am heading to the states in August, we will probably be crossing paths.

this trip should give you time to talk and discuss stuff honestly and openly... hope it is healing. *soft smile*
