when i arrived in samrong about a month ago, everyone in the villages were stressed because the rains were late and they'd already had three failed rice harvests in a row. their solution was to throw cats in water... apparently the freaking out of drenched cats brings the rain

... i'm in northern cambodia now.

though some irish papers and radio interviewed me when i was in malawi... but that was on nutritional support activities.
