baby sling opinions?

Any of you Moms out there familiar with baby slings? I want to get one and I'm looking for opinions. I'm leaning towards Hot Slings or Peanut Shell pouch-style slings as I don't want a ton of extra fabric hanging down around me.

btw, i would get fitted for a hotsling. go somewhere where you can try one on. there is an awesome place here in austin that has all the sizes in stock and they know how to fit you correctly. that's one drawback about the hotsling... you have to get correct size.

hotslings are hot. I didnt have one but wanted one really bad! I recall stopping more than one mom admiring their slings and learning it was a hotsling.

im no mom.... but....

a certain lady made me purchase one many many years ago for the baby, it was a lot more "secure" than i thought it would be. I think i only wore it myself like once or twice, but definitely a sweeter deal than those urban backpack contraptions.
