Hello lady friends! Can any of you recommend a nice day spa in Austin? I'd like to treat a friend who's just returned from Iraq and is in need of some pampering. (Gentlemen, recs from you are welcome too if you have any.)

They're pretty expensive, but I have heard nothing but good things about the Lake Austin Spa & Resort. http://www.lakeaustin.com

I went there once. It was nearly 10 years ago now, but I remember them being friendly and nice. I was there for hair/make-up before a wedding though, so I don't know how their mani/pedi/massage services are.

http://www.azizsalon.com/ is nice. Took my mother and myself there for a massage deal I got on Groupon.

What services are you looking for or are you wanting to just purchase a gift certificate and let them pick the services they want?

Well, I'm not sure what she'll want to do, but I was thinking massage/mani/pedi or facial/mani/pedi. Aziz looks like it has a couple of good packages. Thanks for the recommendation. :)
