When it would go 6-4-3 from Ripken to Alomar to Palmeiro, and Palmeiro would flip the ball back in to Scott Erickson as he had just recorded his billionth ground ball double play of the season, I would smile.

Back before steroids.

Back before Jeffrey Maier ruined my 10 year old dreams of beating the Yankees in the ALCS.

The Red Sox have become more the object of my ire recently. I do almost feel bad for New York.

Almost.

There's only one baseball team in my heart.

The 1995 Baltimore Orioles.
