Title: Ego-meter
Pairing: Heechul/Heechul
Rating: PG
Length: Drabble
Word count: around 1000

Summary: It's getting boring pleasing others and Heechul needs something new to work with, how about breaking hearts instead?

Heechul was lying on his bed, harmlessly browsing the web. He had just updated his personal blog and the boy smirked at all the comments he already received. He was a famous person after all.

It was already getting darker outside and the slender male had just arrived from school. Well not exactly. Heechul had gone out with a friend after school, a guy to be particular, and he might have gotten his tongue a little too deep in the other man’s throat after they had went to the cinema. But Heechul wasn’t bothered by it, the guy had a nice body and he was just waiting to see the face of Victoria the next day at school. She had a crush on the guy and the girl had been stupid enough to mention it when they were eating lunch. Heechul who was hanging with the girls that day couldn’t stop smirking through the next class as he made plans in his head.

Heechul picked guys like picking lollipops in his favorite candy store, what flavor or color he felt for, for the day. Maybe a more expensive one day, that he actually had to work a little to get, but then two cheap one’s the next time. And he didn’t even care what people thought.

But he did when he heard it through someone’s mouth and it reached his ears, the person was doomed.

But the player was getting bored, he needed something new to work with. Heechul had felt like he should share himself, he was a gift to the humans after all, gorgeous and shining as he walked down the school hallways and it looked like a scene from a movie. So Heechul would share.

He wasn’t directly interested in girls, but he liked hanging with them. So he picked the prettiest and not too shy one’s for his gang and kind of customized the school’s students as how he wanted it.

The sexy guys in one group, the nerdy but nice ones in one and so on until Heechul had created his idea of a perfect life from his perspective.

Kim Heechul was not a god, even if he and a lot of other kids labeled him as one, but he did success with most things in life. He wasn’t the smartest student in school, so apart from that he was pretty much perfect. But he was neither very muscular but due to his speed and flexibility he could still do a lot, with other words he knew his body, and how to use it.

But after some time it was getting boring to please people, to make them happy. So he started to please only himself and suddenly everything was hilarious. Breaking the hearts made him actually giggle, it was like a kick of energy whenever someone would ask for a date or anything and he would turn them down by saying something discriminative.

It was amusing how he could crush hearts by just moving his lips, his eyes or just a wave of the hand. He was no longer the popular Heechul that most people loved, he was now the popular but narcissistic Heechul who loved himself more than anyone else. And it was completely true, he was obsessed with himself.

One day when the pretty boy was standing in front of a mirror beside two of his best friends, Jessica and Sungmin, he had just simply said it. “I am seriously, honestly prettier than any girl I’ve ever met.” Jessica had agreed with a laugh, so had Sungmin but with a smile on his lips. No one thought that it was the start of the new Kim Heechul.

The sky outside was a painting faded with orange, red and pink and the way the light from the window hit Heechul’s face and made the whole room seem warm made him look like a god. He glanced against the mirror and smiled, making a few funny faces the next second but not even finding any of them being ugly, just cute. Heechul shrugged and turned his face back to his laptop to answer people that complemented the picture he just posted on Facebook.

“148 likes in just 1 hour, nice” Heechul said to himself and bit his lip as a smirk spread itself on his face. The ego-meter in his body got fuller and it made Heechul even more stronger. He tried again.

“I must really be the most beautiful person on earth.” He said each word slowly, emphasizing it so it would be tattooed into his memory.

“Never forget it, Heechul. You are perfect.” His lips closed and the black-haired male took a deep breath, feeling already ten times better than before. It was getting colder in the room and Heechul stood up to close the window, the spring breeze giving him shivers. Birds chirping and cars moving could still be heard outside and the sound was just as peaceful as it always had been.

Behind the old apple tree there was a window, leading to the room which owner was currently sleeping calmly on his bed, hands under his face and plump lips in a smile.

But the superior human ended up falling asleep with his straightener still on, lying on his desk, an ignored love letter accidently placed just beside it and was caught on fire. In just a few minutes his desk was on fire and the beautiful male on the bed was sleeping, unaware of anything else but his pretty face that was smiling towards him in his dreams.

“Sweet dreams” a person in the mirror said, nothing human or realistic about it at all.
