I'm sure a nurse would be more than willing to show you how to use the pump. I think that pumping and supplementing will make you feel better and ultimately be better for the baby (if mommy's feeling well). As for Jay, I'm sure it's a combination of things, finances, new baby, stress and sleep deprivation. As these things wrk themselves out he'll feel better too. As for the kitty, could you foster it out? (Have someone take it in temporarily while you get back on your feet. I would offer but I'm moving to AZ in a month or two.) Hugs ^_^

when stella was about two weeks old, thats when i lost it.
the breast feeding was killing me emotionally and physically (i got a wicked infection on top of recovering from the surgery) and my doctor told me to stop. and i did. and things got easier. i was able to enjoy my child and myself. dennis was able to help with the feeding and i felt like i was able to have a little bit of myself back.

and dont ever feel guilty if you don't continue to nurse. they make formula for a reason and you dont get a special prize for nursing either. your child will grow up just fine.

hang in there. this is like the suckiest of things life has to offer, having children. the most amazing, also.
